🏟️ Husker Games?
Nebraska’s Spring Game is out, and the Husker Games are in. On April 26, Memorial Stadium will turn into a skills showdown for football, soccer, and volleyball including tours, an equipment sale, and a food truck festival too →
🎨 Spring break camps for the littles
Whether your kid is into dragons, sewing, or storm clouds, Lincoln has a spring break camp to keep them entertained (and out of your hair).
The week long D&D + DIY Camp is a crash course in Dungeons & Dragons with crafts, character building, and their own set of dice to take home → Have a crafty kid? Makit Takit’s week long Sew Spring Break Camp includes hand sewing, cross-stitching, and pom-pom creatures for beginner fiber artists →

Ten Thousand Villages Lincoln is turning International Women’s Day into a full weekend of hands-on creativity, global appreciation, and feel-good giving. From a henna workshop to spinning yarn and raising money for a women’s shelter, it’s a great way to celebrate International Women’s Day →
Today’s also First Friday, giving you the perfect excuse to adventure downtown and support the local art scene →

Today - March 7th
🛸 Sci-fi, sword fights & serious fandom fun
All weekend: Constellation 14 is taking over Lincoln with a weekend packed full of sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, cosplay, an art show and auction, sword-fighting demos, and discussions that range from scientific to downright absurd. Come find your people and geek out →
🌙 Nature after dark
6:30 pm: Ever wondered what the Nature Center is like after hours? Join a guided twilight hike at Pioneers Park and experience the sights and sounds of the night. This month’s theme is “Foundation Prairie. ” It’s $5 per person, and you need to register by phone before 3 pm today →
🍀 Green beer & good times
9 pm: St. Paddy’s Day is still a week away, but The Royal Grove isn’t waiting. Their Pre-St. Paddy’s Day Party kicks off this Friday with live music from REDLOCKS, plenty of drinks, and a whole lot of Irish luck. Wear green, bring friends, and come thirsty →
Tomorrow - March 8th
🐱 Affordable microchips
9 am: The Purrpose is offering low/no-cost microchipping at All Feline Hospital, with a suggested $10 donation (or cat food!) →
🎶 Sensory-friendly fun
9:30 am: Mercy City Church is hosting a free Sensory Glow Dance Party designed for kids with special needs. Expect two hours of dancing, snacks, sensory activities, and a quiet space for breaks →
🚗 Bids, bargains & a mystery Winnebago
10 am: Lincoln Police Department’s abandoned & unclaimed property auction is back, and the lineup is… interesting. No admission fee, no buyer’s premium, and locksmiths will be on-site if your new ride needs keys →
🌋 Extreme environments (for science)
10 am: The University of Nebraska State Museum is diving into the world’s wildest environments — deep caves, frozen tundras, and even inside the human body. Hands-on activities and demos make this one an adventure you don’t wanna miss. Admission includes access to the museum, so you can make a day of it →
🎮 Settle it in Smash
8 pm: 1867 Bar’s Super Smash Bros. tournament is here. It’s $10 to enter and there are cash prizes for the top three competitors. The only rule? Don’t be a butthead →
Sunday - March 9th
🦎 Snakes, geckos & a whole lot of scales
9 am: The Show Me Reptile Show is bringing a full-on reptilian extravaganza to Lincoln. From majestic pythons to quirky axolotls, it’s part expo, part marketplace, and all about the world of cold-blooded companions →
🥊 Wanna spar?
10 am: The Lincoln IKF Point Sparring Tournament is back with kickboxing, Muay Thai, and boxing action for all ages. It’s a semi-contact event, so expect plenty of skill, strategy, and speed — just no knockouts →
1 pm: Last year, Fortune Cookie was found in a snowy cornfield, too weak to move. Now, she’s thriving and Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue is throwing a celebration in her honor. Come meet this miracle pup and support a great cause →
